I wake up to a beautiful fog that just had to be captured. By the time my friend Ivana and I finally decided where and when to go (along with some unplanned things such as the unknown car blocking my driveway ^^) the fog turned to sunny afternoon. But, there were some foggy patches still left, to my happiness. Since I am tired of shooting around the place I live and going everywhere on foot, this time I decided to take my car and drive a bit further.
We drove way outside the place we live and, I must say, I wish I’ve visited the outskirts much earlier. Better later than never, right? The exchange of foggy clouds with the sunlight provided some beautiful shadows and contrasts.
With a little help from my friend Ivana who assisted me with the proper focus. Then I pressed self-timer (as I still don’t have a wireless remote for the D800) and run to the marked place where I focused her. I am sort of a perfectionist with everything I do. Especially with the 365 project. My self-portraits just have to be taken by me otherwise it doesn’t count. In my book. You know, as a person I am very lazy and always postponing things. But, when I come to actually start and finish something – it has to be perfect and by the book. My book. Oh, brother.
By the time I got to take a photo of her the Sun made an appearance and shed a brand new warm light to the photo.  But, I think both of the portraits have good light. Just different moods.
Now you know what I’m talking about. The sunny/foggy weather gave me super duper shadows that worked amazing for the photos. The field split in two lights. Awesome. Not to be tooting my own horn.
This must be one of my favourite photos I took in recently in the forest. Tiny branches were cover with droplets and the sun behind it made me go Bokeh time, hello?! So, I became shutter happy with it.
The last photo was taken when we went to our favourite coffee place in Sisak. This proves there are still some autumn leftovers hanging around. It is not all icy and grey.
I am finally somewhat happy with my photography. I just have to get into my car and move around. I always pity myself how I have nothing to take photos of. But the truth is, I don’t even make effort. Guess it is the same with everything in life. Making effort and let God to the rest. God bless! Muah :*
