First of all, I must share a very big news with you all –  I FINALLY FINISHED UNIVERSITY! Just had to throw it out of the system here, too. Last Wednesday I had to defend my thesis and so I did. I can’t believe my academic years are finally over and now I’m officially a unemployed history professor, which kind of tastes bitter. Hehe. One chapter of my life is closed (so thankful to Jesus for it) and another one begins. Who knows what tomorrow may hold for me but I hope everything will unfold according to God’s plan.
I had to visit Zagreb more frequently in the last couple of days. Defending a thesis is a piece of cake compared to administrative paperwork you have to go through to actually get your diploma. On one of such occasions I met with my friend Mirko who is a regular story character, here on my blog. Along with chatting, we just had to take a stroll around Zagreb’s downtown. As usual, whenever I forget or don’t bring a camera with me, he always steps in and lets me shoot with his Canon. This time, it was EOS 5D with a Canon 50mm 1.2 lens attached to it. I can not glorify that combo enough. The colors are so, so, so amazing.
Not too long ago, Mirko got me The Kinks record but had only given it to me when we finally met. Actually, prior to Monday, we hadn’t seen each other for 4 months. Yikes! So, I was holding the record throughout the whole photowalk and shot it in various places. I don’t know why, just felt like it. You know I like me some still life.
Streets of Zagreb are filled with neon signs and cute little finds, such as this retro Volkswagen van. Mirko and I assumed it belongs to some music band. But, that is just our theory.
Yep, Christmas lights are already up. But, I hope people don’t get overly crazy with decor and forget that there would be no Christmas without Christ. Keeping that in mind, may God bless you and have an amazing day!
