I haven’t taken proper sunset photos in such a long time. You know me, always moaning about taking only still life photos. Well, Wednesday’s sunset was simple outstanding. That is the thing, you just have to take chances. When we headed outside, the sun was still up and everything was bright and pale.
Little did we know that we will witness one of the prettiest sunsets lately. I’ve always known this time of years gives us the best sunsets but this one was just out of this world. My point is, if we hadn’t decided to go for a walk while the sky was still uninteresting and dull, I wouldn’t have a decent foreground to match with those yummy, vivid colors. I could only observe the scene from my window with the same old, boring and unphotogenic foreground.
I think I’ve already blogged about this pond Tišina (that over the time turned into a swamp) in the place where I live. Because of the cool temperatures it freezes over the winter quite easily because the water isn’t as deep. It turned out to be the perfect foreground for the sunset. Just frozen water, tall plants peeking through and the sky. Ah, perfect. I can not tell you how happy I am to be there at that moment. I think I finally made a break from my random and default still life photos, this time. It is always nice to shoot something new, even if the subject isn’t lifestyle photography related. Have a great weekend, everyone and God bless!
